29. März 2011

_MG_6259 At the moment Sebi Müller, Gerald Fuchs (Bamboo) Davo Struber and the Goodquestion crew are trippin through Southern Europe. So be awear if you are around Andorra/Pyrenees, these guys are dangerous! ☺

This nice cosy RV is thier home for three weeks. Always searching for new spots the guys are really productive and already earned some nice shots. On Staturday Fuchsi, Davo and Sebi competed at the Total Fight Rail Jam. Congrats to Fuchsi for getting 3rd. Maybe a good Party after that. Check out www.goodquestion.de to get fresh updates from the crew. Fuchsi will give you a full report about the trip on www.bamboo-mp.com soon, if he ever comes back again… You never know!!

The last powder action of the season?

27. März 2011

Wallner_03 The Bamboos tried to catch the last powder of the season! Woina, Schmoiz and Heimi worked hard for two days at Flachauwinkls backcountry to get their last powder shots.  Thanks to Markus Deutinger, who made some nice shots. Check out the gallery.

Bamboo Riders rocking Volcom Peanut Butter Rail Jam

26. März 2011

Despite the miserable weather, the atmosphere at the Volcom Peanut Butter Rail Jam in the Blue Tomato Snowpark Stuhleck was great. For the rail jam Fuchsi and Stuhleck Shape Crew built some special creative obstacles: A riffle to down rail, a kinked box and an elbow riffel rail compo with an up pole. The Volcom guys heated up the mood with cool music and funny costumes. In spacy astronaut suits the guys were a funny eye-catcher. Also lots of motivated riders didn’t mind the bad weather and showed their best tricks on the contest setup. Two Bamboos at the top  three! What a day, for Marc who went first. Clemens also showed his rail skills and got 3rd. Unfortunatly two Bamboos had to go to the hospital. Wögna broke his collarbone and Rudi smashed some of his alveoli. But Rudi is back again and already able to breath! :-) Wögna is forced to make a break for some weeks to heal his collarbone. But he will be back for the Summer Shred Seaosn!

The Bamboo Contest Weekend!!

13. März 2011

197680_1640797223732_1350843909_31409136_7774391_nRudi and Wögna headed to Garmisch for the Ride Shakedown 2011 and competed at the Relentless Rail Jam. Wögna made it into the Semi Finals and ended up on 6th place! 400 kilometers in the south Clemens was riding the last Slopestyle Worldcup 2011 in Bardonecchia (Italy). The 3rd place at this Slopestyle was enough to win the the FIS Overall Freestyle World Cup. So Clemens is the first snowboarder ever who won the Freestyle Overall Crystal Ball, because it is the first season of the FIS Overall Freestyle World Cup Ranking. Big Respect to Clemens who made a big step at his first season at the World Cup. This could also be a big step for the Austrian Freestyle Snowboard Szene to become more recognition in the Austrian media!  Meanwhile the Raifeisen East Cup took place at our local home resort Bluetomato Snowpark Stuhleck. Heimi was competing at this local event and he showed a solid kicker performance. Impressed the judges and went first. Thumbs up for Fuchsi Rob and the Stuhelck Shape Crew for building this nice jump and organizing a homely competition. The other Bamboos Marc, Jasmin, Hiasl and Karli also made their way up to Stuhleck just for some easy  jibbing. Sunny ,slushy, all together… A pretty good sunny weekend for the Bamboos!  :-)

Best Urban Shot Vienna by Bluetomato

10. März 2011

urban_shot Last tuesday was the final of the Best Urban Shot Vienna at the Bluetomato Shop Vienna. Our friend Stefan Voitl took the titel with two pictures. He won the category best urban skiing shot together with Bamboo´s  “NAS” buddy Felix Prankl. The famous Vienna Ferris Wheel was the location for the best Snowboard urban shot. Rudi and Stefan carried “tons” of snow to the spot to make it ridable, known as Snow Transportation 2.0. But all the effort bringing the snow  to the spot was worth. The excellent combination of location, light, flash and riding action made this picture special.  Congratulation to Stefan Voitl, Felix Prankl and Rudi Janda. Good job! Thanks to Bluetomato for this creative competition.

Bamboo Motion Pictures shooting at Planneralm Seekar

8. März 2011

P1040892 Last Saturday the Bamboos headed up to the DC Snowvalley Planneralm to shoot the legendary Seekar jump! It is amazing what they built up there at Seekar if you realise that the Planneralm is one of few skiresorts in Austria which still runs without artificial snow and if you look back to the last snowfalls it is crazy where they got all the snow from. So the Planneralm Shape Crew really put a lot of effort into the park project. Thanks for that. The Riders Clemens Schattschneider, Robert Wallner, Dominik Weghaupt, Gerald Fuchs, Matthias Gober, David Struber and Rudi Janda were throwing down all kind of tricks all day long. They had a good session at the 16m Parkjump and gathered some nice shots. All the action captured on film by Peter and Tommy for the upcoming Bamboo Movie Project. Big thanks to Planneralm Q-Parks Shapecrew and Planneralm skiresort team for making this shooting possible. Thumbs up for the great work of the Bamboo media department Tommy, Peter and Matthias. Check out the Gallery with some nice shots from the talented fotografer Matthias Amelin and some funny snapshots from the Crew. Bamboos looking forward to the next shooting.

Romania BURN the Streets

3. März 2011

Last Friday Rudi and Fuchsi took off from Vienna at 15.00. After 7 hours of driving they arrived in Baia Mare and checked out out the pre-party for one relaxing welcome beer. Next day Fuchsi had to ride qualification, but made it easy into the finals. Rudi and Fuchsi impressed the judges with their Austrian rail riding skills. A lot of spectators during the whole day, cameras and reporter every where and crazy riding. Our Slovenien friend Nejc Neds Ferjan went first. Fuchsi showed some nice frontside hardway 270, blunt 270 hardway and fs 3 over the polejam and placed 2nd. His Stuhleck team-mate Bazsi Takacs got third. So it was a pretty good, well organized competition and pretty creative setup to ride. After Party… Well, imagine you can get beer for 1€… haha… It was a dam good party!! So Rudi and Fuchsi had a lot of fun and once again they learned about the eastern hospitality. Thanks to all the guys from Brun the Streets 2011 and all the new Romanian friends!

Special thanks to Aron Suveg for some nice pics
